Intro
Hello Everyone! My name is Ivy and I am TTC. When I am not blogging, I work fulltime in the healthcare. I also freelance as a Reading/English Tutor, birth doula, public speaker, and I officiate funerals, weddings, and baby dedications. Feel free to view my services here and book me using my contact form. I love to help people who may be suffering from loss and experiencing grief. It is also a privilege to provide a sense of comfort to those who are in the final weeks and days of their lives. I am fortunate to provide tender loving care to military veterans who have served in foreign wars, former nurses, teachers, mechanics, homemakers, and other awesome people who have defied the odds. Those are the people who give me strength to pursue my dreams of motherhood in spite of my circumstances.
My Story
It is the dream of my entire life to be a mother. I have dated extensively, been heartbroken a time or two, had two broken marriage engagements, and I have been ghosted and zombied. I have suffered many broken promises from friends who have promised that they would support me, but did not come through when I needed them. I have also faced inadequate care from doctors who did not believe that I should try to preserve my fertility. It has been a long, tough journey. Somehow, I managed to make it to my 40s without ever achieving wifedom and motherhood. However, I have lost nearly 100 lbs, have an optimistic outlook on life, and a rewarding career. I believe that things are coming into alignment for me.
I have struggled with irregular menstrual cycles, doctors who would not help me, and lack of support from friends. Now, my cycles are regulated, I do not have diabetes, hypertension, or other comorbidities. Other than having uterine fibroids, I am healthy and strong.
